What makes the new Formentor VZ5 different from other modifications of this model. The changes are varied, the ground clearance has been reduced by 10 mm, the adaptive chassis, where there are 15 levels of adjustment, has been added to the list. Following the suspension updates received the braking system. Now the Akebono system is installed on the wheels, where calipers with 6 pistons are listed. The basis for the crossover Cupra Formentor VZ5 served as 20" alloy wheels.
In addition to the specs, the changes to the Cupra Formentor VZ5 came on the design side. In terms of the exterior, the grille received a black matte trim. The front bumper got increased air intakes and carbon fiber rear diffuser.
To all this, twin tailpipes of the exhaust system, with copper trim, are installed at the rear, giving a special appearance to the crossover. A highlight in the exterior design you can see on the clipart below is the new Taiga Grey shade, which is not included in the standard list of the regular Cupra Formentor crossover.
The interior of the charged Cupra Formentor crossover also received changes. In particular, the seats are sports, the so-called buckets. As upholstery designers used quality leather, black or blue shades. The perimeter of the cabin is equipped with inserts of polished copper and aluminum.

The central part of the panel is occupied by a huge 12" touchscreen multimedia system made in the form of a tablet. Multimedia works simultaneously with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, also can recognize voice commands.
In addition to a state-of-the-art display, the driver of the Cupra Formentor VZ5 is offered a digital instrument cluster, with plenty of customization. If that's not enough, interior details can be upholstered in brown Nappa leather for a fee.
According to available information, the charged crossover Cupra Formentor VZ5 will be released in 7,000 copies, that is, the number of cars will be limited. As of February 22 the price of the new Formentor VZ5 has not yet been announced, but according to various sources it will be around 60,000 euros without additional options.
Judging by the picture, factory Formentor retained the design of last year's prototype, as evidenced by previously published spy photos of test samples. At the heart of the parketta is obviously based on the MQB platform. Dimensions of the concept has not been named, not yet disclosed the size and production SUV. Foreign media believe that the Formentor is larger than the Cupra Ateca. The length of the latter model is 4,376 mm and wheelbase is 2,631 mm.
The prototype was a rechargeable hybrid, the same version was also confirmed for the Cupra Formentor, but so far without details. It is supposed that the installation of serial crossover is the same as that of coplatformer Seat Leon/Cupra Leon, Volkswagen Golf and Dacia Dokker Van: it includes petrol "turbo four" 1.4 TSI, built in six-speed gearbox DSG electric motor and a battery with 13 kW*h capacity. At that, the Formentor will likely get the top-of-the-line 245-horsepower version (the Cupra Leon eHybrid will have only this option, while the rest of its relatives, including the Seat Leon, will have a 204-horsepower modification).
"Traditional" Cupra Formentor will also probably be there, but, as expected, only with a 2.0 TSI gasoline engine (on the Cupra Leon it produces 245, 300 or 310 hp) - it will not get a diesel (the Cupra Leon has a "heavy" fuel motor also, unlike the Seat Leon). Plus the commercial SUV should get adaptive electronically controlled shock absorbers and all-wheel drive.
On the European market Cupra Formentor will be released before the end of this year. Then, in the range of young brand, apparently, there will be an electric parkett, created on the motives of the concept Tavascan.
